When I was studying psychology, a Professor said that people who abuse other people verbally, physically etc are even more likey to abuse animals as the animals cant defend themselves....I seen people on the threads yesterday use words like Stupid and Creep to describe me - when I had done them no harm.....these abusive people are a danger to animals and they might not even know it...or perhaps they do know it and thats why they are angry with themselves.......
i think people like to blame other for their problems thus they take it out on everyone else even when that person didnt do anything to the mean one. i could never identify with someone who is cruel to animals .. i have no use for them or respect
well said pinklee, I cant tolerate those who abuse animals, still I suppose as you say, the abusers usually attack others to conceal their crimes
thanks tophubber, your right of course, it hard to tell which one is the dog
I have just picked up my local paper and a woman was convicted in court this week of abusing and neglecting cows, she was abusive to the authorities when they arrived at her house....I suppose that is typical.....animal welfare people just trying to help.....
I don't like people who abuse animals, irish, but I can't be relied on to identify them. I'm so drunk most of the time I hardly know who I am myself. If I didn't make it a practice to always carry my ID I would have been in big trouble more than once.
Niteriter, I have often walked down that street, no need to identify them they know who they are
I can't recall the events clearly, but I believe I was the animal who was abused once or twice!
indeed, we have all been that animal, not to worry, our day will come
Have you ever heard the song "Sometimes You're the Windshield, Sometimes You're the Bug"? I'm pretty sure I've the bug a few times. Do insects count as animals?
Niteriter - your honesty excluses you from any charges - it is the pretenders we are hunting down here
perhasp we should set up a mans group......we can share our problems
I've been excluded from all charges. I just nominated china man to be our first pretender. Maybe I'll be chairperson.
So China man is our first pretender, Niteriter is Chairperson, I will be secretary - can I wear a Sarah Palin skirt
China man I can see yu are suffering there, this is more urgent than I thought
No the skirt is for me, I will only wear it for special occassions if necessary
I will shave them, they are hairy, but I will not get a wax job
I have just realised what is wrong with this thread - half the usual suspects are missing - nobody has had a go at god yet, even though he never did anything to anyone !
Can impersonating Sarah Palin be classified as cruelty to.... ah, ... what happened to china man?
God where are you when China man needs you, dont let him down
there is only room in this office for one Hublicious creature
people with problems with other people aren't necessarily animal abusers.
You referring to Sarah Palin ? Just joking -
Of course you are right, but animal abusers normally have some kind of serious social problems with people ? ?
No I wasn't..
And you are right, about animal abusers generally having problems with people, but the purpose of this thread was to be pissy about people being mad at irish for childish threads with sexual innuendos, as hinted at in his initial post.
Whitney thanks for that input...you could be right
Yep, and you saying the people who called you names in the forums yesterday are potential animal abusers is ignorant because you're just mad at them for calling you out.
I know females who are complete witches and plain mean and rude to most people, especially other females, yet they are great parents to their pets
I am simply repeating what a psychology professor said, are you really studying, you dont seem to be able to identify the difference between a simple question and personal interpretation....I am finishing a Phd...what is your study...

Is putting animals in zoos cruel? There is an ongoing debate about the benefit to society vs how detrimental to animals it is to be kept in zoos. Some say that zoos are the only way modern people can view animals that would otherwise be in the wild. Others say that it is cruel to raise wild animals...

Would you clasify zoos as cruel and unusual punishment? Will our children's generation look to us, at our fascination with animals and zoos and think us cruel and inhumane for caging animals? Just as the victorian freak shows died out as a consequence of a developing society will so the same...

50 years from now, will we look back on zoos and think them archaic, cruel and backward?Today in the news in the UK, are reports of a rogue lion wandering the countryside. No zoos have reported any animals missing. It's most peculiar. It got me thinking, will generations from now wonder...
