As Wychic says the "ab" is the abbreviation for Aurora Borealis, which is a finish applied to beads that makes them shimmer. The AB finish makes me think of shot silk in a bead - in certain lights it's not the true colour of the bead, but a filtered version of that colour. They are very beautiful beads and can really make an ordinary piece of jewellery really become more of a statement ice.
