Why has a pair of Scissors got one pointed and one round-ended blade?
Not all scissors do. It is a safety feature. Surgical scissors are built that way so that they are easy to start to use, but safe, so they cut bandages but do not stab people. Children's scissors are rounded top and bottom, for safety. Office scissors can be made either way.
The pointed end is used for pushing through material; and the rounded end is kept underneath when cutting a length of material, as it does not tend to catch in the fabric or table on which the material is supported.
