What do you see in this picture

This picture is one we purchased from a door to door sales person about 8 years ago. It has been on our wall ever since. What do you see in it?
I see a Cat  with a knife in its neck, screaming in pain , and standing in a lightning storm. Maybe I am crazy. Tell us what you see.

well, the object looks like a tool to apply paint with, to me it appears to be an abstract with bold contrast, maybe if viewed from eye level will show differently?

I see that and I also saw what the writer saw, but didn't like being lead, on second thoughts I see someone like a fireman to the right holding a hammer to the left, but there is still some of the writer's suggestions there as well, but not for me

Horror, that's it, no cat, no knife, no nothing, just horror and pain.  I would not have it on my wall, sorry.

I have no clue who it is. I think it was in a model home that sold. So they were getting rid of the art work in the model homes.

definetly a horror theme.. i see a girl with long black hair covering her face.. kind of like the girl from the ring. ong a cliff next to an ocean or river. its dark but the sky is red and orange, like the sun has just set.

I would never have got that. I guess that's why they call it art.

LOL it's just awesome! My mother would have loved this piece just to scare the living daylight out of us all... I actually see the fish with opened jaws in the dark waters while Katana is piercing the darkness... It also reminds me the closed/boxed setting of the basement where X-Files are filmed (remember that dark oily matter?...) Also, look at the red creature at the bottom of the picture, it looks like some alien with huge white eyes tried to make an appearance but failed due to short height. Oh, gosh. I love it! What a delight smile

It looks like a pallette knife leaning on eitther a dirty pallette or an abstracted image of something like that.

This is intriguing. I do see a demonic looking cat's head looking down at something - sorry but I wouldn't have this on my wall it's very creepy!!!

I see a muscular laborer in the dark area. The red eyed demon looks like he is ready to take a bite!
