Does anyone have any good ideas for recycling telephone books?
Actually there are some good You Tube videos on making wreaths out of books. They look really nice and Rebecca does a good job walking you through the craft. This is the title of the video: Christmas Decorations Christmas Wreath Old Book Pages. I have it on my Pinterest Christmas Crafts board as well. Just one idea, hope it helps.
donations to your local schools art programs and library. if your a stay at home parent there are many crafts, even home maid booster seats your able to make with your old telephone book.
The covers can be removed and the pages used for mulch or added to compost bins. Pages can also be tightly rolled together and the ends folded in for use as fire kindling. Crumple the pages into balls, stuff them in recyclable plastic bags and use to pad the clothes on your autumn scarecrows:)
Reconsider kindling , the ashes stay heated longer and fly off starting wild fires. mostly back yards and trees have been reported,.
Thank you! I use them for my scarecrow. The plastic bags protect the paper from the rain, and I just tuck straw or raffia into the sleeves and cuffs:)
Re. the kindling, these tightly rolled sheets have few air pockets and don't create flyaway ashes.
