There is a website that list ALL Singer machines by serial number series and year made. Just because it's old don't mean it's worth anything. It has to do with how many were made in that year and the design on the machine.. Don't have the link but I;m sure you can google it. This might help to start:

Then from there have to go to different website for the worth
One other point to remember is that cleaning or messing around with an old machine can make it worth less, not more!
