Hi there, Wonder if you can help identifying these pictures.
I recently purchased these two 8"x 10" pictures locally here in Australia and needs some help identifying the artist-value-age.
The pictures seems to look old. Painted in oil on a card board, the paint seems to be cracking when inspected with a magnifying glass.
There is a signature that seems to be scraped through the wet paint.See Pictures.
Would appreciate any details if you can.
Thanks
JDRohan
Nobody can identify a painting from a bad photo of a small section posted online.
If you have a print, which will be flat and smooth on the front, and flat on the back, it probably has very little value.
If you think you have a painting on canvas, rather than a print, take it to an appraiser to find out about its value.
Thank you Lisa, I am so sorry for the bad picture. I think I will re-post a better picture tomorrow.
It is a oil painting on card board. I will attach more pictures later.
Don't bother with pictures. Nobody can appraise your paintings from photos. Take them to someone who can look at them in person.
Also: oil generally isn't worked on cardboard, because the surface sucks the oil from the paints.

When you think of VIRTUE what do you think of? What is your definition? It seems as thought the things that were once looked upon as wholesome and virtouos have become a thing of the past, I wonder what the view of VIRTUE is.

Smile! Do you like smiling on pictures or do you prefer a more serious face?I almost always smile but I'm in between dentist appointments and realize I'm hiding my smile all of sudden. Do you like smiling or do you wanna look sexy or serious? I wonder.
