   Welcome to Hubpages!
   
   Hubpages is a writer site for writing magazine length articles. Usually evergreen content, however, many writers write articles on specific niche markets.

   There's no self promotion allowed in the forums. It's purpose is for discussion and/or debates on topics.
   
   As for followers? The easiest solution obtaining more followers is to make yourself visible by commenting on other people's articles, posting questions in the questions section, participating in the forums(like you are now without asking for people to please check out your hubs(that's self promotion) and possibly taking part in some of the activities Hubpages has established, like voting on HubNuggets and Contests. All event type announcements and Team(Hubpages Staff) are at the top of the forum threads main page(you can usually find "blue" color thread informative).
   
   Other than that- I hope you enjoy your time here.

   You might be interested in a contest beginning in November, HubPages Patron of the Arts. It includes prose, poetry and photography hubs as entries.

   You have got some good photographs, both here and on your website.
   
   A few suggestions -
   
   >> You would like to tag your images properly - that will make them easier to find  through image search.
   
   >> Rather than loading dozens of pics in a single hub, use only a few - and centered around a theme. For example, a hub on "Buffalo Herds in Yellowstone", with selected pics.
   
   >> Use low resolution images and watermark them - though HubPages has a policy of not allowing watermarked images - I am not sure whether self owned image are exempted. You can mail them and ask for a clarification.
   
   >> You can also add a few tips - for example, that image of the waterfall - you can write about what time of the day it was, the ambient light conditions, what camera settings you used - shutter speed etc.
   
   >> Don't put so many links to your website in a single hub, just one or two. And don't do it on every hub.
   
   >> On your website, just above the Adsense block - please remove the heading "Check out this offer" - it will jeopardize your Adsense account.
