If you happen to be an American then your only choice is not to buy either. Buying foreign cars only helps to undermine the already poor U.S. economy. While we all know that the American car makers are the cause of many if not most of their own problems one must understand that sending money overseas costs an American citizen his/her job. If for no other reason than to ty to save your fellow Americans job, "they might be a relative", please try to think of our country and not your own purse. In the long run it "will" help us. The more Americans that have jobs the more money those Americans will have to spend, thereby building our economy and not that some foreign nation who undoubtly hates America anyway.

Hi. Our fellow hubber soni2006 has already compared the 2 cars in his HUB.
I was also in the same dilemma couple of months back as to which car to buy. In one line if I say, SWIFT is a winner hands down. I would not like to undermine the RITZ here but SWIFT definitely is better.
For me first of all the shape of the RITZ was a turnoff, secondly I test drove both the cars and found SWIFT much better than the RITZ as far as the pickup is concerned. Secondly since I am a offroader the rally based suspensions in the SWIFT really helps.
Although I would say the interiors are better in the RITZ but SWIFT is not much behind. But the SWIFT gives you a feel of a very powerful car which is also goodlooking.
Hence I would say you go for the SWIFT.

Between Maruti Suzuki Swift and the new Maruti Ritz, you may buy new Maruti Ritz. But I suggest you to buy a Mitsubishi. It has a powerful engine.
