What are your rights when you want to keep a vehicle that has been totaled and fix it yourself?
My son hit a mailbox and the insurance company may total out his truck. We need information on our rights to keep the vehicle and repair it ourselves. If anyone knows the relevant Oklahoma law to cover this I would really appreciate knowing. The insurance company is dragging their feet-we have already paid the body shop 1800 to order the necessary parts to fix the vehicle.
Well, I don't mean to get off topic but... how did your son hit a mailbox?
2 months has gone by, what ever happened with the insurance co., from what I understand, if they total the vehicle, the totaled vehicle goes to auction.
