My power steering goes out at low RPMs. This seemed to start after I ran over a curb. ?
Cadillac Coupe de Ville. Power steering pump replaced 1,000 mi ago. Likely causes for failure ? Could running over a curb created the problem ?
You have to take it to the garage, the ball joint or the universal joint at the staring rod below is gone when you hit the curb
have you checked your power steering fluid level? You may have a leak if the steering goes at low rpms. The leak may be at the steering box. After a blow like hitting a curb, it puts a lot of stress on the seals in the steering box.
