This car was a bad fit for other Ford trust worthy vehicles. It was over priced, stuck out like a sore thumb size wise, had an overly large grill, a whole slue of useless gadgets on the dash, then with the batmobile fin type fenders, the push button in the middle of a humongous steering wheel, did not attract many buyers then, and many said it looked like "an Oldsmobile sucking a lemon". One of my uncles had one for about 5 mnths, hated it and traded it. However many collectors like Jay Leno have one. This article may help you more than I can, if you read it for yourself. I would be my Ford Ka - easy on the eye, nippy, needs little attention and best of all, cheap.

Why do non-Ford trucks rust so much?I'm looking at a used (maybe 7+ years) truck and Chevy, GMC, and Dodge and noticed that almost every one is rusting. The Fords rarely have rust.I live in a salt-the-roads kind...
