My cars reverse lights stay on the entire time the car is on also the random warning lights come on
Reverse lights stay on. Oil light brake light dash board lights. We were told a battery. The car seemed fine after that and 2 weeks later it's acting up again. Can anyone help?
So let's break this problem down.
1. Reverse lights stay on:
This sounds like to me a issue with your stop lamp switch or transmission gear selector. The stop lamp switch tells your brake lights or reverse lights when to come on based on what gear you are in and if you are braking or not. It could be a sensor in your shiftier that is not telling your reverse lights that you are not in reverse!
2. Oil light brake light dash board lights (Christmas tree as we call it because it it full of lights). Could be something battery related as you've been told, but if that hasn't fixed it it may be your alternator or wiring preventing your vehicle from holding a charge.
If you have told a shop the problem and paid them money to fix and it has not been fixed then that would be the first place i would go to. Tell them what they did, did not help. Or if you do not want to go back ask friends and family for a shop they trust and get a second opinion!
Hope this helps!

So I have a '92 t-bird and a 2006 taurus, both fords. I actually like the t-bird better than the taurus, except for the fact that the t-bird is in need of another transmission. I lost the overdrive while merging onto the freeway during busy hour, mileage was just barely 138,000...

What do you think of the bill in Congress that will require cars to have black boxes?A bill going through Congress will require all cars made after 2015 to have a black box (like an airplane). This could be used to track speed, location, or anything with the car.

Is it better to re-finance a car or to just buy a newer model? We are thinking about re-financing our car at the end of the year. We have another car payment wrapped up in the loan. We would like for our car payment to be less than it is and I am wondering what would be the best option.
