Who would race fans like to see win the Indy 500? Could Danica Patrick make history to become the first female to win the 500 or will Helio Castroneves win his fourth straight 500?
I live close to the 500. Went one time years ago. I'm not much of a fan. During years when I had any interest at all, I used to root for...can't think of his name now...but he had a Mountain Dew car! ha
...When Dale Earnhardt got killed, it simply made me even more against racing. Too dangerous a sport!
So, no, especially I don't think a woman (or man either) should be in it, win or lose.
I know, I know, I'm being a party pooper! I'm in a deep deep minority here, 'cause most people love it; people in my family love it; and I'm sure you do too!
Well, at least this will bump your thread for anyone who actually does approve of the race.

I just reread the rules for the contest, and it states that poems should be 500 words. Mine is 210. Is the introduction counted in the word count? Thanks.
