Some new automatic transmission cars now have paddle shifters by the steering wheel where you press to shift up and down manual (even though the car can shift on its own). Do you use them? Or are they mainly an useless feature?
I've had them on the last two cars I use for work. I rarely use them, however I do find them useful for downshifting on long hills instead of braking.

In the market for a used SUV and not sure what kind to get. I would prefer something with third row seating and decent gas mileage. Any suggestions??
