Are you lying to yourself?
Are you lying to yourself?

Take a close look at one of the negative habits of the “big three” bad habits.

Preview 10... So far, we've been looking at some of the habits in general and how they can and will affect your life and your business. My intention here is to make you aware of just how important these habits are to the business that you're involved with.

Now, when talking about good habits and the affect of the bad habits on your business, there are many. But, today, lets take a close look at what I call the big three. I call them the big three because of the dramatic negative affect they have on the progress of your business. Left unchecked, these big three habits will add a disastrous certain death to your business. In this article I'm going to cover the number one bad habit of the Big three bad habits.

What do you consider the death of your business?

As you've already seen, what you bring to the table of your business ...what you bring to your DMO, will determine your ultimate success or failure to your business. When you bring any of these big three habits to the table of your business. It is guaranteed to cause certain death to your business.

As a business owner, you may not even be aware of how deadly they really are. Then too, you may not even be aware that they exist at all. In fact, one of the major reasons why these big three are more dangerous than they may seem, is that, you don't know they are happening and that causes you to place the blame on others and other things or on other circumstances for the lack of progress in your business.

Are you spotlighting?

I call that " spotlighting", taking the blame off yourself and placing the blame on someone else, either the company, the products, the leadership or the whole system for that matter ...or placing the blame on anything except where the blame really should be. You see, the real cause is not because of someone else. The real cause is having one or more of these deadly habits setting on your table of business.

Fortunately, there does exist a proven technique, a proven method for controlling these habit tendencies...but before you can get on with the cure, you need to examine the extent of these deadly habits.

Are you lying to yourself?

Let's begin by identifying one of the big three right now. The number one habit you have to eliminate when you’re in business for yourself is …lying to yourself. You see, some business owners spend most of their time getting ready to get going, instead of getting going. Repeat, instead of getting going! While others on the other hand are “getting going” and “getting out there in the marketplace” and doing the deal …telling the story, talking to people and putting their DMO into consistent daily action …while the others are back there someplace putting together their plan, if they even have a plan. Some are still trying to do it their way, if they even have a way …while the rest are trying to reinvent the wheel!

Don't get me wrong here, having a good workable plan is important. Being knowledgeable about your business is important, being knowledgeable about your company is important. Being knowledgeable about the products are important too …but there has never been or never will be a substitute for action …for productivity …for getting the job done.

Are mistaking motion for progress?

And believe me, it's very easy to think or mistake motion for progress. It's easy to fake yourself out by staying busy all day. But the question is, busy doing what?

If there's one question you should be asking yourself at the end of the day, it's, what was my production for the day? Where was my production today? And when your asking yourself those questions at the end of the day …make sure you looking in the mirror. That's the person who you need to be asking the questions.

Next you360-11

And make sure when you are making your daily plan of action you drink plenty of clean, fresh, filtered water with two-four ounces of the "best tasting Aloe Vera" everyday. What better way to keep your mind focused!
