Dancing With Chicago

The largest growing single occupation for the decade 2010 - 2020 in Chicago, as projected by the Federal and State Departments of Labor, was Choreographer.

The job title did not supply jobs to as many workers as were projected, but some jobs were available through each year from 2004 - 2014. Frank Lloyd Wright Chicago Links

  • Frank Lloyd Wright Landmarks in Chicago -- These signature homes built by the Frank Lloyd Wright in Chicago are some of my favorite laces to visit in and around the city. The South Side seems to enjoy a large number of them among their museums and other tourist projects. There is a directory, a number of museum photos, and map available at local museums like the Beverly Museum. Illinois is home to the largest group of Wright buildings in the nation. Twenty-five were built between 1889 and 1913 alone.

Willow Springs has a good reputation for scientists, engineers. and medical products; so your friend sounds like quite a person!

Oh wow Patty, I don't know about that. I'm not a scientist so I can't really say much, haha. He's about 32 so he's been working for a while and moved here from Sweden about 2 years ago. I met him at salsa, he's a good dancer and really good looking ;) Unfortunately I can't say much about his work though other than he works at the lab in Willow Springs and that he's really smart!

Thanks a million for that information, abrodech. We have a division of Abbott labs in Franklin County (Ohio), always looking for engineers as well. They have a lot of internships here and use a lot of BSEs, too - must have more entry level jobs here than in Chicago.

One of my friends works at Abbott labs as an electrical engineer, but he's a double PhD from Sweden so he knows his stuff. Abbott labs is for the heavy hitters in the science industry!

There is so much there that 10 Hubs could not do it justice.

There was once a huge indoor amusement park outside Chicago and I can find no information on it. Maybe the Navy Pier in Chicago replaced it.
