What was the saying again?

"Always expect the unexpected"? - True enough, always expect the unexpected. You'll never know what's going to happen ahead of you. So, smile and make the best of your day, today and every day of your life!

Once I was on a quick grab at the Shopper's Drug Mart, the Sales Associate approached me and this is what has happened:

Random scene at Shopper’s Drugmart:

Sales Lady: “Hi, (on a very enthusiastic tone) I remember you. You were on my Flight to Florida couple of weeks ago?”

Me: Looking at my left and right feeling a bit awkward, “Uhmm, maybe? Wow, you have such good memory.” ( I wasn't even on my uniform)

Sales Lady: “Yes, I remember you cause you came back twice to check my brother who was feeling sick to make sure he’s alright. I was sitting behind him.”

Me: “Oh, yah. So, how’s your brother?”

Sales Lady: “He’s alright, nothing serious, just nauseas. I guess, the ginger ale helped!” Smiling.

Me: “Oh good to know. It’s Cristina by the way. “ Offering my hand. “And you are?”

Sales Lady: “Irene. Yes, nice to meet you too and thank you for your great service during the flight.”

Me: Smiling, “Oh my pleasure and hope to be of service again.”

Sales Lady: “Yes, for sure. Now, you are in my territory. How can I help you?

Me: "Oh, that’s so nice of you. I am actually looking for some stuff …"

At the end of my shopping

Me: “Thank you so much. Have a great weekend now.”

Sales Lady (Irene): “Yes, you too.”

Me: “See you in the sky sometime again.”

So, I got what I came for at Shopper’s plus freebies. Uhmm, sample perfume, SPF 40 cream, etc. I think it’s awesome not just the freebies but also being recognized (unexpectedly) by a random individual for a service well done-service that is worth leaving behind-up in the sky! Oh, the joys of being a Flight Attendant and the magic of ginger ale!

Did you know?

That ginger ale's active ingredient called "gingerol" is what creates relief in our body's digestive system by slowing down the intestinal spasms and in many countries especially in Europe, people drink ginger ale to reduce nausea, abdominal pain or upset stomach. Remember to be wild on health!

Life Lessons:

1: Be nice and courteous to people. Your path may cross again. You’ll never know.

2: Go beyond the extra miles. Won’t hurt you! I promise.

3: Be helpful without expecting anything in return.

4: Make people feel important and appreciated.

5: Keep a smile on your face on & off duty and let your personality be your autograph.
