    This is a great question, but in reality, msost of your traffic will come from some kind of "effort", over time. It doesn't have to be hours per day, but 30minutes or so per day could easily become thousands of visitors with the right tools.

    If you are looking for automatic method.i suggest you to run a pay per click campaign such as google adwords.Your website will be at the top of google if you choose the uncompetitive keywords but i have a secret method which is way more cheaper.

    Do you know how to use hubpages to get free traffic to your site from here, I suggest you do not look too far for sometimes we do not see the forest for the trees, it may be right in front of you and you do not see it.

    content, content, content and again content - quality content will drive traffic to your hubs.
    
    automated methods doesn't work - even if you will drive 1000 persons a day but they're not interested in your topic you will not earn anything. Better to have 500 persons a day but each person is interested in your topic.
    
    in other words yopu can drive 10000 little girls between the age of 12-13 to your hubs about hammers - doesn't make any sense
