What is your idea of a fair punishment for BP with regard to the Gulf Oil disaster?
its an accident, fair punishment i guess would be to suspend their operations from US coastline.. right now they are asked to compensate for the loss amounting around 20 billion i think. The fund will be kept aside for the payout to affected people.
It is an accident in the broadest of terms. The fact is, it was a preventable accident and those preventions were opted not to be implemented to save time and money.
Eleven lives were lost as a result - so far.
I am curious that eleven counts of involuntary manslaughter should await the responsible party(ies)
What happened was no accident to anyone who understands how the stock market works. There is no conventional punishment fitting for such a heinous crime.
