My former employer told me my position was being reorganized due to construction of the...
building. He said I could re-apply, so I did and didn't get hired. When I Googled my name I saw the board meeting minutes online stating I was terminated. Is that something I can sue for? I have asked them twice to remove the content.
You can sue anybody for anything but I doubt you could win on this one. If you were let go because of reorganization I would think you would be able to collect unemployment benefits. Good luck.
BbeckyV you can talk to an attorney versed in employment law and give them the details. Look for someone who will give you a free consultation. Were you terminated or was your job eliminated -- there is a difference. Did your employer tell you why you didn't qualify to get rehired?
