Should age discrimination be made illegal in the workplace?
It should be 100% illegal! Knowledge and experience should be the forefront of criteria for employers. An older person should have the same work opportunities as a younger individual and not be denied employment solely based upon age!
I think it is already...well in Canada at least. Only problem with age discrimination is proving the discrimination. Besides, hiring the best fit person for the job usually means hiring the older person because they generally have more experience...thats my thoughts anyways
