What do you do when the harassment is being done by the HR person?
She has accused you in front of other employees (friends of hers) as being a bully, arrogant & unprofessional.
Document these incidents. If there are witnesses this will help your cause. If you take the appropriate actions to document what happens and escalate your concerns to upper levels above the HR person and these continue to go unaddressed or you experience retaliation, you can ultimately file for a lawsuit if that is your last resort. If you work for a private firm it is harder to escalate if the top level is one owner or works closely with HR but if it is a large corporation there are more levels to escalate these things go.
The only witness is the VP, which is the person I would go to above HR. But VP's interest is to protect the company, that person is not going to help me.
I feel that the only avenue I have is to see an attorney. Which of course, will for sure make me lose my job.
