Have you taken a temp/contract job in hopes it will turn part-time?
Yes I have. And it did turn into a part time job. And then it turned into a full time job.
Yes once I applied for a job somewhere and then started working there for a temp service and they called me in for an interview not knowing I already worked there, (crazy mix up) and since I was already proven, I got the job!
Yes, I signed a one year contract that turned into a regular, permanent position when the contract expired. That was 20 years ago and I am still there. It couldn't have worked out better!
I am currently in a temp job awaiting any type of permenant position
I got it too, I intitally started as contract then became permanent as well..
I took a part-time short-term contract once, hoping that the company would use my computer services on a freelance basis later. And that's what happened! They became an excellent client, and sent me work for several years, until their office was moved to a new location.
