Today I heard a rumor that Walmart will soon force all full time associates to go to part time...

with minimum pay/no benefits or quit, just like Kmart did. Anyone else hear this?

I never heard it. I have a friend who's a greeter, & I won't believe it til it actually happens.

Why would you, or anyone else, pay any attention to such a "rumor"?    It is not in Walmart's interest to do this.   So why would they?   What's the probability of Walmart suddenly just adopting policies which are incredibly damaging to the company?

No, I haven't heard of that.  But it would make sense for them to do that for most of their staff.  Most of those jobs can be done by anyone, so why not?  They really need only a few full-time positions at the higher levels.

There is good reason  for that.  With all the government regulations as to overtime, pensions, etc., and expected "benefits", I am amazed that so many positions all over the economy are still "full-time".

Full-time employees enjoy a privileged position that is no longer affordable by many companies.

If you don't like it, look to your religious and political leaders who have brainwashed you with stupid beliefs, and who have sold you out.
