How can I change careers at 30?
I am looking to change careers from being a probation officer to possibly physical therapy or occupational therapy. I would love to hear from anyone in those fields.
I believe a person can make a change in careers no matter what the age. I have experienced changing careers, and I was well pass 30. 30 is young, if you already have your B.A. or a Bachelor of Science you have a head start. You will have to do 2 years in a Physical Therapist program, and pass the license exam in your state. You can do it! Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist are rewarding careers. The starting salary for physical theraphy is in the neighborhood of $51k. Good for it!!
I am 35 and am graduating May 10 with an Occupational Therapy assistant degree. Best decision I have ever made......I am excited and truly happy with my career choice.
