Why is it ok to ask about reliable transportation, but not if the person has a car?
I am a student, and am curious about this questions answer.
i'm not an attorney, but i'm guessing it's because unless the job depends on driving (i.e. a pizza delivery driver) whether or not you own a car is irrelevant as long as you do have a method of reliable transportation. i suppose it could be a potential lawsuit if someone claimed that they were denied a job because they were financially unable to own and maintain a vehicle.
Because asking if the person owns a car is like asking them if they have the financial means to own a car. You really only need to know whether or not the person can regularly report to work on time whether they walk, ride a bicycle, take the bus, or rideshare with someone.

Is it OK to contact Hubbers and ask them to write articles for me?I was just wondering if it was OK to contact other hubbers and ask them if they would write articles for me and ask how much they would charge me for doing so.

Is it ok to have a crush on someone, even if you are happily married?I was telling this to my sister the other day, that it's normal to have crushes on people throughout our lives, even if we are happily married. It's ok to have a crush, but it doesn't mean you have to ACT on it. Am I right?

Why is it ok for women to wear long pants and not ok for men to wear dresses?Just seems weird how that is. Of course there was a time when men wore long dresses, still do in the ancient countries.

It is ok for African Americans to use it in context between their friends. They may be careful in using it in public around others they do not know (especially if someone feels uncomfortable hearing the word). Is it ok for white people to use the word.... never!
