There are tons of ways, you can easily Google them. The main thing is building the Backlinks, (pages with the link to the page you created) the more you have the better, but those sites must have quality content. The other thing is the TIME, it's like the hubs, the more they're on internet the more popularity they'll get. And of course better Page Ranks :-)
To improve your google page rank, always write unique content and backlinks your blog or website as much as possible. I mean 5 backlinks per day.
Google loves headings and subheadings. The H1 and H2 tags are good.
Also include relevent links and videos.
And a lot of text and pictures. Try to make your articles over 1000 words.
I agree with the answers given but perhaps I can help some more. Try going to seocentro.com and using the online tools there to give you an indication of how well your site is SEO'ed and then create backlinks on a regular basis.
