Be careful when you are looking for online jobs to work from home there are some of them that aren't legitimate. Customer Service jobs are one area that you might want to look at.
My advice is similar to David's. I'll just take it a step further.
The most important thing you can do, if you're serious about it is to arm yourself. That may sound a bit dramatic ... and well it is. But it's always important to remember that people who are writing to you about working from home likely using some predictable marketing techniques.
They are trying to reach a certain type of person. In the end what that means, is that the offer that feels least suspicious to you is actually the offer directed at you.
Besides that, see right through anyone that offers a quick fix. Hey it's not impossible, but there's no road map you can follow to quick fix/easy money. There are just too many variables. Working from home takes effort and dedication. But it can be done.

The best way to do this is to find job boards that specialize in the job type/industry you're interested in. There are enough good,free ones that you don't need to pay to join one. Here's an article that has more details:

If you are looking for a job online it is best to do your own research on the company that is offering the job. there are more scams online than what it was years ago and scammers are getting better and better at what they do.
