Re-Tweets ... They used to be a great boost for SEO, but now they seem to have dropped off?
Anyone else noticed that re-tweeting has lost its power to drive your SERP results up? .. What are your twitter tactics?
I never noticed a real kick up the rankings due to Tweeting, but I saw my articles being indexed quicker. Which they still do.
IMO its just for traffic purpose and has very less to do with the SERP.
yeah i think your both right, its still great for traffic, but i did notice a month ago that one of my websites jumped up quite a lot of places after only having undergone re-tweeting. Must have been coincidence.
I almost never "hang out" on twitter at all. I tweet my hubs, and I tweet everyone else's hubs if I like them at all.
My main backlinking strategy is all in the addthis extension for chrome or firefox, and you can always have twitter as an option there - and re tweet something as a different link with the addthis extension.

First a disclaimer is in order.I broke the evergreen rule with this approach. I knew it going in and did it anyway. What the hell, sometimes rules are made to be broken. Sometimes a gamble pays off, often it doesn't. I do live in Las Vegas though so it is in my blood! Hubs should be on evergreen...
