research keywords - by using Google's keyword tool (just type in google keyword tool into "Google") you can find what words you should be using throughout your site. e.g. if you were affordable laptops, Google's keyword tool will tell you that people are most likely to type in "cheap computers" rather than "affordable computers".

Meta description - all websites should have a "description" as 90% of the time, this will be shown when people use search engines.  remember to have a different description for each web page and don't go overboard.  Be concise and again use Google's keyword tool to research .

Back links - treat your website links as your children, don't just give them to any site, make sure that not only the site is relevant to your industry but also has a better page rank then your site.

there is so much more i can go on about but it might be easier just to view my 3 part hub on SEO.

I assume you mean to optimize your site?  Focus on keywords and backlinks.  Use backlinks to point to your site with your keywords as the anchor text.  They say backlinks are the most powerfull resource to increase search engine results placement.

Some basic Search Engine Optimization tips are keyword research, your main keyword in the "title", keyword in the "description", and keyword in the "URL". These again are just the basics of SEO.
