What are some struggles you have come across when interviewing for a job?
I am sure this is a hot topic for anyone laid-off or currently looking for a job. What are the struggles you face when interviewing? Hard questions ... not prepared ... bias against you ... don't know what to wear?
I would say the non-sequitor questions that I wasn't prepared for (if you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?) is one of the most nerve-racking.
Or, asking about challenges in my previous posts. Talking about negative experiences in a way that doesn't put you in a negative light is tricky.
My nervousness tends to get the best of me. A question, when I was being interviewed for a Christian company, that really tripped me up was who is your biggest role model. I couldn't think of anyone except Bob Marley off the top of my head. Luckily, the guy interviewing me went through a huge rasta phase when he was younger.

I didn't have to interview for my first job at Jimmy John's, but I did have to briefly interview for my job as a dishwasher. I don't consider that a REAL interview though because I didn't have to dress up, there were enough positions to go around and it was a five minute interview talking about...
