As a business owner, do you find it hard to determine who your indirect competitors are?
Indirect competitors are those competitors that offer products and services that can easily be substituted in place of the same product or service you offer to the same target market. For an example, movie theaters compete with casual restaurants when people are looking for a relaxing evening out but aren’t attached to any particular activity.
A business should determine this well before going into business. Even with competition though the magic word as we all know is location, location, location. That is especially true today with gas prices.
