What do you think is the biggest con that has advertised in TV commercials?

The Texas based tax advisory firm, TaxMasters, Inc, has recently been found guilty of violating over 110,000 of Texas' Deception Trade Practices Act, and has been ordered to pay $195 million in penalties for defrauding clients. Other than TaxMasters, what do you think is the biggest con -or at least the most shady- product, service or entity that has been advertized in television commercials?

Advertising itself is a con. It is the "art" of deceiving people into believing that they want or need to purchase something. Yes I know most will say, "well they have to sell their product". That may be so, but look at commercials anymore. They sell with subconscious imagery and blow their product out of proportion. Keep it simple, keep it TRUE. Don't try to trick me, all it will do is bring my wrath. We need honest, real advertising. Some commercials aren't that bad. Explain your product with a straight forward approach and I will consider whether or not it is worth purchasing. No nudity, no paradise, no actors.
