Fatcow versus hostgator

    Fatcow versus hostgator

    I am thinking of hosting my first site online. Fatcow and Hostgator have both been suggested.

    Do you have a personal web hosting experience with either or better still both of them.

    I need help to make a decision.

    I did a bit of searching, and see that Fat Cow does have a few extras which Host Gator does not have. The one thing that I could not determine is the use of Word Press on Fat Cow.  Rather than you downloading and fighting with Word Press, it is already set up for you with Host Gator if you want to use Word Press.  The cost is about the same, but i see that Fat Cow has one rate when you begin which increases if you renew.    I have never had anyone recommend Fat Cow to me, it is Host Gator that seems to be the favorite of all hosting sites.

      As to support, they both rate about the same. I contacted Hostgator support due to questions I had about using them, the word press there etc, without even signing up for their services. The rep was polite and extremely helpful.
