I'm a mother and what I can say to you is what I observe from my husband. You cannot teach someone to be a good father. It will automatically show or burst out from you once you have a children of your own. I f you think you're not good enough, ask your wife or your children why then listen to them. Communication always works. No father doesn't love their children. If you have unconditional love for your children, you don't have to worry for a thing.
Remember your children are a priority, they depend on you. Care for them, be with them as much as possible, include them in things you do, teach them good manners, read to them, let them read to you, play, tell stories, if they are in a performance in school or get an award go and see them receive it. Be patient, kind and loving, listen to them when they have something to say, if there's a problem help them. They grow up before you know it and they will know you were a good father and will love you for it.
