it starts with buying a domain - getting hosting, and writing content. If you can make partnerships with people - especially getting links, and getting people to tell others about you, then you can start earning, once the traffic starts flowing.
Read about online business and internet marketing. That's the only way do make money without throwing $$$ at the begining.

I know it fluctuates depending on a billion variables...but for you hubbers here who are making decent money, how many backlinks do you create for each hub. Please specify between social bookmarkting, article marketing on directories like ezine, blogging and commenting on blogs.Thanks!

I know very little about SEO. If you have hubs on niche sites, is it still important to have a knowledge of SEO? I get little love from Goggle.
