A HubNugget Potluck Bake Sale
An idea is born
Every year, HubPages staff and team members gather at the club house to discuss our favorite charities and make our donations, however, this year was different. Since we were so fortunate to be included in a wonderful holiday extravaganza to Bermuda, we decided to hang out by the pool to discuss our yearly contributions.
Unfortunately our clubhouse reno's very effectively ate up our cash reserve and our budget was down to zero!
What to do? We needed some cash, and fast. RedElf put her strawberry margarita down and gazed at the pool thoughtfully.
"Why don't we have a bake sale?" she asked.
"...Or a potluck dinner?" Maddie added.
"I know!" Enelle said, "Why not have a potluck bake sale? All the proceeds will go to our charities! All in favor say Aye!"
"Aye!"
Time to gather supplies
"I think it would be a great idea if we pooled some of our favorite recipes and brought two each." Patty Inglish said. "That way we would have plenty of goodies to sell."
"Oh wonderful...new recipes to try!" Kofeeklatch Gals exclaimed.
Soon, the table was overflowing with recipes and the little group started narrowing down the selections.
Our selections - part 1
After a very long sorting process it was decided that Jason would bring his famous French Macarons and Vegetarian Meatballs, Simone, her Healthy Falafels and Lemon Birthday Cake, and Maddie decided on her Healthy Carrot Cake and Low Fat Donuts.
Of course nothing goes better with food than a good read, so the team printed up the latest batch of HubNugget Wannabe hubs for the hordes of hungry diners!
