   How can I promote my hubs?
   
   I want to let people know about my hubs, and my followers as well. But we are not allowed to promote our hubs in comments, or email followers using hubpages email system. it is frustrating because I want my followers to know when I post a new hub, or want other hubbers to find my hub. Any suggestions?

   I am actually going to be writing some articles on this very subject shortly, though I'll be starting the series with the bare basics of how to build a hub, so there might not be a lot in it that's useful for you to begin with. At any rate, the basic condensed version -- your followers are already notified through their feed whenever you post a hub. As for other promotions, you can post links in relevant answers here, on Yahoo! answers, and similar sites. You can search for blogs and other such sites that are related to your content and leave links and quality comments where they can add value (backlinks), some people will start AdWords campaigns to promote their profile (I'd suggest getting a lot better handle on marketing before you try that, though), and spread the word through social networks.
   
   As for getting other hubbers to your hubs -- participate in the forums and on the answers board, read and comment on articles with quality input, and people will come and see what value your hubs have for them too. It really is a quality and value game, and if you consistently broadcast that to those who can benefit from what you have to offer then people will take notice.

   You shouldn't be so concerned with other hubbers finding your hubs, I don't understand why that would be an issue, you'r followers get e mails to let them know when you publish; what you should be concerned about, in my opinion, is promoting your hubs so that people searching the web for whatever it is that you write about find it, and you do that by sharing your links to as many different sites as is possible for you to do.
   
   I think that sharing your hubs with social networking sites is a good way to get comments on your hubs, and if you don't actually get the comment on the hubs themselves, then maybe you will get them from the links that you shared on Facebook, or Twitter, or Myspace, or Friendbust, or Redgage; just to name a few good ones.

   I use twitter , facebook and kooday which I did a hub about , I make money every week on that as well as get viewers ,when you ask questions or comment you get noticed !
   Join in on reccommend another hubbers hub as well.

   Whenever you create hub tweet about it,share it on facebook,digg it,Bookmark it on delicious,Stumble upon it,do every social marketing you know to promote your hub.

   Building links to your site will help you rank for keywords in google, and you can gain search engine traffic from your hubs. Do some research about SEO and linkbuilding.

   SEO your articles to help people find them more easily in their web searches.
   
   About your followers, they get an email every day saying you published a hub if you've done so, so don't worry about them. I would worry more about getting more followers than notifying the current ones of my new hub. Why? Because more followers means more people read and rate your article and therefore higher position in rankings and traffic.

    I think it a bit of a waste of time letting your followers know you have published a new hub, after all they are following you and get notified in their stream.
    
    The best thing you can do is concentrate on improving the quality of your hubs.
    
    You get to the stage where Hubpages starts identifying your hubs as standouts and they promote them for you.
    
    Features Hubs.
    
    For search traffic, the best way to gain traffic is through initial keyword and competition research.
    
    If your micro niche topic is too general, chances are you are never going to rank on first page and gain search traffic, so competition research is essential.
    
    This is where most people fall over.

    Hi etower036,
    First off, do ensure that your hubs are made around keywords that many people search for. This way, you can take your hub to a first page position on Google and when this happens, traffic to your hubs increase automatically.
    
    An effective keyword research should help you achieve this. Of course, as the others have pointed out, social bookmarking and link building are the other ways by which you can promote your hubs. I wish you good luck!!
