Is back linking through reddit a bad thing?
A long while ago I got a spike of traffic from reddit.com on one of my hubs. After checking out the site, I thought it might help increase traffic to post more of my hubs on there. However I didn't start to wonder until now if that was a bad thing. Is it being overly promotional? Could I be penalized for doing it?
Reddit is no follow. It won't give you search engine ranking. But you can get a lot of traffic from reddit itself with an interesting title. I experimented a little and I found that it also depends on when you post the link. You better post when it is evening in USA.
You can get 1 million views from reddit. Noone will penalize you for getting views from a link. And I don't think Reddit is likely to ban you or something like that for putting hubs links there. Sometimes I delete my older links and put them back under a better title and at a better time. I get like 100 views immediately.
It may not have a strong value as a back link, but reddit is definitely capable of bringing some traffic to your articles.

I have never done it before but on my latest hub I attributed my own images with a link to my profile page. Will this benefit or will it hurt me? I know they are counted towards the overly promotional links on a hub so I thought I should get a few opinions.Should I just leave image source...

I got some immediate traffic from Delicious. Any luck with the others? There are so many on there that I've overwhelmed. I don't know how to find out about all of them.

Well, I hope I am posting this in the right spot. I've been on Hubpages now a little over 3 months, and am enjoying it thoroughly, all the writers here have been great. I have done a lot of research on increasing traffic to my hubs, and mostly people seem to collectively agree that to really boost...

We all know you can't have more than 2 links to the same domain in a single Hub. However, there used to be another rule - that if you linked to the same domain over several Hubs, that was also overly promotional.I think we need to know if that still applies, because some of us are...
