It means that somewhere within in your hub, there is a broken link to another hub or outside source. When you go to the hub scroll through it. Locate the highlighted area and then click edit in your hub. if the hub you are linking to know longer exists remove the link and the warning will disappear. If its from an outside source, check the link by placing it on your search tab and see if that link has been changed, is down for maintenance or no longer exists. If its down for maintenance then go to the tab that is listed under "hubs" on HP where it says broken links and click ignore.

When Hubpages has identified a broken link in one of your hubs, it means that the link isn't valid, which brings less value to your article and could be damaging, which is why Hubpages identifies broken links. To fix the problem, go to the hub, click on edit, scan the hub looking for a "yellow" highlight. Once you found it, then edit the capsule where it is located and then move your mouse to the location where the link is suppose to be. If it is a word? Then Click and drag your mouse over the word to highlight it in blue. Then click on the "chain-link" icon at the top of the capsule. This will bring up a pop up window, which you can enter in the URL in the top white box. Click save. Then click save on the capsule you were editing. At this time, it should be fixed. Then click on the "done editing" at the top of the hub and you are finished.

When you use either 'link capsule' or use 'suggest links' feature, you are redirecting visitor  to your other hubs or blogs/sites etc. A visitor clicks on the link in your hub that  takes the visitor to your targeted page. A  link is broken when you delete the target page. In such a situation if a visitor clicks on a broken link, it leads visitor to a blank page with a message "sorry this page does not exists". It results in decrease in the traffic to your hubs.

Just a side-note to the other answers you've received:  Sometimes HP will mark a link as broken if it doesn't have a "www" in it (ie. http://suzettenaples.hubpages.com).  If after you've double-check as the others have suggested and found this to be the case, you can tell HP that it's fix or not broken, etc.
