What's wrong with the spell checker?
Having trouble with the spell checker. When I select an alternate suggested the who screen goes dark and freezes. I have to exit and start over and loose all the previous corrections. Help!
I too have had problems with it. I just get half a box with a warning sign. Very strange. There must be gremlins in the system.
I suggest you report this in the "Report a problem Forum" where the staff can see it and do something about it. It seems like a glitch to me, it isn't normal for that to happen.
I've been having to same problem of getting a strange cut off warning sign on spell check on some hubs but not all, strange.
There's a spell checker? I always type my hubs in pages in order to take advantage of that and the word count. I notice that there is a word count there now. TOP left corner.

Just wondered if there was any point in having a spelling and grammar checker within hubpages?I raise this question because I see a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes while reading through hubs. It spoils an excellent piece of work. If people wrote their piece in word, first or...

Is your spelling getting worse?I prided myself as a kid on my excellent spelling. As the years go by it's getting constantly worse. I think it's the fault of Spell Checker, a blessed little program but one that makes us rely on it. Are you having the same experience?

When i comment on a hub, before i hit ok i use the spell-checker to correct the typos. But after posting my comments for one reason or another i had to edit them sometimes re-writing a whole new one but i notice that the spell-checker is not available to me anymore when i edit. Is it possible to...

Do you still look up words in your dictionary or do you depend on spell checker to do the job?Have you ever typed a word and thought it doesn't look right only to look it up in your dictionary to find out you were correct?

I have noticed that the spell check within the capsules does not recognize certain contractions, such as, "I've," and will underline it as an error, when in fact, there is no spelling error.
