Question about privacy and hub stats?

When I look at the stats for one of my hubs, I'll see some sources, like Hubpages and Google. And that's useful info. However I'll also see page views from the sub-domains of individual Hubbers. What's up with that? Do the stats in question arise because a Hubpages author has linked to one of my articles, and one of their readers has clicked on that link? If so, I'd be seeing the sub-domain of the linker, rather than that of the reader. And that's Jake with me. Do I have a reasonable expectation of privacy when I'm reading the hubs of others?
