Why are you on Hubpages?
What about Hubpages brought you here - and what about it kept you here, whether or not you came from another similar site or are new to writing altogether?
I'm here to write, build up a collection of articles, hook up with other writers, and maybe make a few pennies on the way.
I have been writing for a long time, and have always wanted to publish my work, but never had the means to do so. I am not very computer savvy, but HubPages has been pretty easy to figure out thus far, and is very helpful in giving detailed descriptions on how to use and edit capsules.
On HubPages I get to write, publish, read, edit, and get feedback on my work from others who are in the same boat as me.
I also love that we can earn by being apart of this great network. Even though income trickles in slowly and in small amounts, it is still exciting to see those pennies accumulate!
I just want people to be able to read what I write and enjoy it as well.
I want to become an author, and continue to write for the rest of my life, and to be an author I need an audience, and HuPpages is a great place to start!
HubPages is a great place for all kinds of writers - from the aspiring to the experienced veteran, you can meet them all on this one site. It's a genuine community of diverse people who can write from their heart or their heads, compose quality hubs and get them out into the wider world. This is of great importance.
I'm suited to HubPages because it allows me to create different kinds of hubs, have some fun, be a bit serious, record what I do, what I like, and make a little extra income whilst doing so.
I am on Hubpages because it is a great place to expose my writing and also to answer your questions!
To be with people alike, and thus successfully share my creativity
I really want to grow as a writer. I love sharing my work and reading other writer's pieces.

I often see forum posts about how the site is 'dying', or asking why people would continue writing here after they've earned success on their own websites. So I thought I'd start a thread about WHY people still write here. To start, here are some of my reasons (I haven't written much in the past...

I just read a Hub that said that the author was going to go to the freelance website and pay people to write articles for him that he would put on HubPages to make himself money from. That can't be okay with the HubPages site, is it? A couple of people commented, including an author that I have...
