Please explain in detail how to pick high paying keywords?

Although I have been writing for years, my weakness is in marketing my finished products. For those of us of the older generation, would someone please explain in the vernacular how to pick high paying keywords? Someone asked how they could earn more from google adsense and another replied "by picking high paying keywords." Am I having difficulty with this concept because of age or an aversion to technology or a combination of both?

Dear Prakhash Ji, Thanksor your note of appreciation. personally I dont think good writers like you should ever go for keyword. keywords reflect what people search for and when they land on your page, they go away by clicking on the Ad. Irony........

very true. A writer should never attempt building hubs around keywords.

Thank you for your reply, but I write based on knowledge, feelings and opinions. Never have I written a piece based on keywords. Where's the emotion in that? Please don't take this personally, but I was looking for a more definitive answer.
