Mike Dale posted the news here >> http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/104371 but I thought I'd post something in the Traffic forum to link to it in case anyone misses Mike's thread but checks here. Google admitted last night that a major Panda update was rolled out on Thursday 27th Sept.
Bah. Humbug.
What I don't understand is why panda is affecting our traffic. I mean maybe I don't surf the site enough but is our quality really that bad? Are people still keyword stuffing or something? What the frak? (thought I'd throw some battlestar galactica in there lol. It made me laugh, and all I wanna do is cry... )
I don't think we will know what's really happening until the SERPS settle after the change, and HP has finished resolving the possible flaws they found with the site design, and the site has been indexed properly again by Google. In a couple of weeks or so we might be able to see more clearly (and even, hopefully, our traffic might have returned!).
As for the quality on HP - there is a lot of very good stuff, but Hub Hopping shows that there's still a huge possibility of a lot of pointless spam, and I think some of that kind of spam from months or years ago is still indexed by G and might be affecting the way the site as a whole is thought of by the search engines.
Don't cry, DoM - I think the staff are really working on sprucing up HP and it could all turn around again soon

For anyone seeing a sudden dip or rise in traffic, be aware that Panda is rampaging again:http://searchengineland.com/panda-update-rolling-204313This may be good news for some who lost traffic in the August update, and it will be bad news for others.

Sorry if this has been discussed already ad nauseam (I was out of town a bit), but I was experiencing an uptick on several sites following the rollout of Panda 4.2, that seems to have been eradicated on August 14, 2015. In fact my website went almost to 10% of normal pageviews since August...

After the alleged Google alogrithim update probably after 10 December my traffic has fallen drastically from more then 150 views per day to 50. Traffic was steadily rising but after 10 dec it suddenly plunged showing no signs of recovery. (hubs have remained unchanged).

Google just released what it is calling "Panda4.0", a new addition to its formula for ranking content on webpages. If you have noticed a significant change (up or down) in traffic to your Hubs today, this may be why. Check your rankings on search engine results for your...

Looks like HP and Squidoo have both suffered a 20% decline in pages views from the latest Google Panda Hit - early days of course. Ho Hum! What a bum!
