Somebody turn that thing back around...I want it to go up not down.
I am not sure I understand your question completely. Are you saying that your earning from HubPages is $1.42 per month?
Yes, I only have 14 hubs so far and this is my first month. It showed that I earned $1.42 this month and then I looked again and now it says I only earned $1.40 ... If it keeps going down, I'm going to be broke....lol.
I bet what happened was that it wasn't the finalized earnings. From what I understand if there is an asterisk by it, then it could change... but so glad you got to put your 2 cents in.. teehee..
The earnings figure is not finalized when it has an asterisk beside it.
If they have to make adjustments, your earnings will go up or down if CPM changes.

LOL! Thank you, it's up to $1.78, woohoo! I might have to go out and celebrate!
That happened to me once, with pending earnings. Mine changed by 10 cents. Glad it wasn't 10 dollars...

Is there another issue with earnings reporting, or am I doing that badly?I just checked, and for the period from Thur. 3-17-2016 through Sun. 3-20-2016, I've "earned" a whopping $0.00 for each day and total...
