So as the title reads, I joined 2 days ago and checked my account just now and earned 8 cents via HP (woot woot!) At this rate I'll be up to about $30 in a year ha ha.. jk.. I suspect it will go up by then..
My question really is do I get paid if other hubbers go to my page because right now with the exception of a few friends I don't really see who would be looking at my page or where they came from.. is there a way to find out?
Thanks
I remeber the days when I could at least get some bubblegum with 8 cents (and have change left over!) ha ha!
You can find out where visitors are from by signing up for google analytics. It's great, particularly for newbies, and has a world map that gets colored in as visitors from other countries read your stuff.
If you earned 8 cents in the first two days you are way ahead of the curve. Almost certainly luck, but still far better than most noobs. (I earned 2 cents my first month).
Oh wow.. I laughed at .08 -thanks for sharing.. how do I sign up for google anylytics?
Seems like I did it through adsense, but:
go to "my account" (here on hp), "earnings", "affiliate settings". Scroll down to "google analytics" and click the "configure" button. It will, I think, walk you through it.
Awesome ok I see it.. and I dont have it set up yet.. do I have to do it for each hub or will google take all hubs into consideration? In other words,( if understand this correctly) if someone searches on google for "love poem" and they click on the corresponding hub page that came up in the search and they are immediately directed to my hub page (and not my profile page) does it still count as a way to earn money?
That's a pretty good amount given that your content probably isn't in Google search yet.
I'll give you a huge hint to getting some nice earnings, check out the learning center. You'll learn about some really cool ways to write your hubs in such a way that they attract visits! It's some really small stuff too, like great ways to title a hub. It's also some big stuff, but the important thing is that you enjoy your time here at HubPages.
(Plus, you'll figure out WHY people visit your stuff. Hint: search engines. Want to find out how to become more popular in the search engines? You'll find out in the Learning Center.)
But, seriously, check out the Learning Center, you'd be surprised the plethora of information there. I seriously learn a bit of information every time I go there:

I want to earn money with hubpages...I'm signed up for almost all the affiliates now, and not a cent.....I just created a new hub to test a theory out but, I think I'm gonna need to learn some new things/revamp old hubs......... I'll have to check out the learning center.
My earnings are down this month, I used to make the Adsense payout every month but I can see I'm probably gonna just miss it this month. Made it last month so I don't know why its down this month. Wish I could go back to making twice as much like last year!
In my 9th day I'm up to 20 cents... I'm not sure what I might be doing that is different than others but I have a few ideas. If the money keeps going up I will write a hub explaining what all I did to get the earnings coming in. At this point, I'm still just convinced it's a bit of beginner's luck. Time will tell. But from what I am reading 10 days active with a score of 80+ and only 4 hubs posted and having earned 20 cents seems to be "out of the norm".

So hubbers help? I had four hubs that went from the pending state to having the featured status. Originally they were all viewed on the page where you can hop hubs. Now I dont no where they are? What does that mean? They all appear...

I thought if a hubpage was listed in Google search it was featured. But apparently that is not the truth. I guess I will keep the hubs up and run my own check on them.

I have an eHow account with 17 articles and it has earned more in the last week than my 102 hubs. There has got to be something wrong with this picture? This is extremely discouraging... my traffic levels have fallen back to the level when I had 70 newly published hubs and google adsense with HP is...

People have been asking this, so I looked at my account. In the week that my application was approved, I have been earning a few cents. I looked under earnings, and it shows that money earned from HubPages is 54 cents. So, I thought, am I getting anything from AdSense? Yes, I am. I went to the...
