I'm finding things in my feed from hubbers I've never heard of. I try to unfollow, but messages keep appearing. Forum links pop up repeatedly when I've unfollowed. What's the deal? I like to follow certain hubbers or stories, but how can I stop these unwanted messages? Any advice appreciated. I have to go to bed now, but will read in the morning, ( my birthday!)
First off...Happy Birthday..by the way your present is in the closet behind my red shoes...anyway..good question, wish I had an answer for you..but you'll love your present....hope it fits...
The feed is also populated with items that we think you might also like and is not always activity you explicitly follow . This comes from forums, topics, and such that a user frequents.
You might want to review the things you do explicitly do follow here:

As @LindaSmith1 mentioned, you might want to uncheck the settings to automatically follow content.
Whenever you read a hub, there is a box that refers to follow. If you do not uncheck that box, you will be considered to be a follower of that hub. This also happens with the questions asked here as well. I am surprised that you are not getting an influx of email messages with all of these hubs, every comment made etc.
If you've commented on a popular thread, you may have left the "follow this forum discussion" box checked so any new posts are showing up in your feed.
Happy birthday!

Is there an easy way to see what people you are following are up to?The feed seems to show such random stuff that I wonder where some of it comes from! I just want to see all the activity of the people I am following, after all that is why I am following them!

I didn't think this was allowed and it is rather annoying spamming a link to one article every couple hours.

Hey everyone,If you look at the HubPages homepage while you’re signed in, you’ll notice quite a change: we’ve moved to a Feed-centric layout (you’ll also notice that the Feed is no longer visible in the header), and made some simplifications to the interface. Kudos to Fawntia who built this great...

I clicked on the follow box to unfollow but I'm still getting this guy's articles and comments in my feed. He posts like four times a day and my feed is full of his stuff. I can't see hardly anything else.

Lately, there have been all sorts of changes on Hubpages designed to get hubbers to interact more with each other. For instance, I now find that my feed comes up with the comments from anyone's hub that I commented on. I have tried for the past three days to switch if off, but I can't.I find it...
