I have all sorts of hubs, comments and accolades displaying for hubbers and topics I do not follow?

Has the tool changed in some way?

    ex)

I only follow Humor and Web Business as categories.

This hub is displayed in my feed:

    http://zhengchengliang.hubpages.com/hub … -sale-here

    (some spammy crap)

    and this:

    http://jacquelynmarks.hubpages.com/hub/ … me-Staging

(nothing wrong with it) except - it doesnt fall in a category I follow, isnt shared by someone I follow and isnt a hubber I follow.

Why am I seeing this stuff?

Feed still showing me stories and postings from unconnected sources - not a follower, not in category, not shared by those I follow.

    Its messy.

    Anything being done?

      Can you share a screenshot?

When you hover over the X to the upper right of the story, what options do you see?

My feed isn't showing anything unwanted, but then I barely follow anything or anyone.  Of course, me not seeing the same problems that you are seeing doesn't mean they don't exist...

No problems with my feed at the moment. I DO follow quite a few people and subjects as I am certainly NOT ABOVE doing that, lol.  I like to give support when I can and do use the feed accordingly.

looks like I follow around 200 people (most not active feed users) and only two topics - web business and humor

The current hub shown in that feed right on top is:

    http://whoisbid.hubpages.com/hub/Worst-Blog-Comments

I dont follow the hubber or the category?

    and all these accolades appear:

I talked to engineering about this, and sometimes the feed will show stories that our 'affinity model' thinks you might be interested in, based on what you've read, commented on, or shared before. So, for example, if you've read a lot of Hubs in a particular category or by a particular author, you might be presented with a Hub by that author in your feed.

If you hover over the space right above the green follow button, an X button will show up, and you can choose to hide the story and others like it.
